Day-by-Day Route Breakdown

Day 1: Winchester → Queen Elizabeth Country Park

37 km / 23 mi · 616m↑ · 529m↓ ·

A big opening day. Leave Winchester and cover the full Hampshire section in one push — Cheesefoot Head, Old Winchester Hill, Butser Hill. Finish at the visitor centre in Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth Country Park → Graffham Down

26.3 km / 16.3 mi · 574m↑ · 483m↓ ·

Cross into West Sussex through South Harting and past the Devil's Jumps. A shorter day that lets you recover from yesterday's effort before the long middle stages ahead.

Day 3: Graffham Down → River Adur Bridge

34.1 km / 21.2 mi · 558m↑ · 773m↓ ·

Descend to Amberley, cross the Arun valley, pass Chanctonbury Ring and Steyning Bowl. A long, satisfying traverse that ends at the River Adur crossing with views across the flood plain.

Day 4: River Adur Bridge → YHA Southease

35.9 km / 22.3 mi · 741m↑ · 721m↓ ·

The toughest day. Climb Truleigh Hill, cross Devil's Dyke, summit Ditchling Beacon and run the exposed ridge above Lewes. Cross the Greenwich Meridian and drop to Southease.

Day 5: YHA Southease → Eastbourne

28.4 km / 17.6 mi · 610m↑ · 569m↓ ·

Through Alfriston and into the finale. The Seven Sisters demand repeated sharp climbs and descents over chalk cliff tops, with Belle Tout lighthouse and Beachy Head to cap it all off.
